Technology Industry Veteran to Drive Adoption of Aveksa Enterprise Access Governance Platform across Region

WALTHAM, Mass.—January 12, 2010—Aveksa, Inc., the market-leading provider of enterprise access governance and management solutions, today announced the appointment of Olav Strand as managing director of central Europe. Strand will leverage more than 15 years of IT industry experience to expand Aveksa’s presence in central Europe to capitalize on the increasing demand for the company’s access governance and management solutions. Strand will report directly to Patrick Welch, Aveksa’s vice president of worldwide sales, and will be based in Hamburg, Germany.

Prior to joining Aveksa, Strand served as managing director of central Europe for BMC Software, where he was instrumental in evolving BMC from a product to a solution-focused company in the region. Under his leadership, BMC achieved unprecedented growth in central Europe. Before joining BMC, Strand held director positions at Baan Deutschland and PeopleSoft. Strand started his career with Sage Software and Oracle, where he quickly advanced into business leadership positions.
