New Independent Report Rates Aveksa Highest in Access Governance Strategy, Citing Aveksa's Backend Architecture and its Ability to Handle Millions of Entitlements
Waltham, MA,—August 24, 2011—Continuing its strong momentum, Aveksa, Inc. today announced that it was named a leader in Access Governance in the August 2011 independent report from Forrester Research Inc. entitled "The Forrester Wave™: Role Management and Access Recertification, Q3 2011", which ranks the eight leading vendors in the Access Governance automation market. Aveksa received the top score for strategy and the second highest score for current offering.
On a scale of 1 to 5, Aveksa received a score of 4.27 for current offering and 4.15 for strategy, and was among the top ranked in key criteria categories such as roles, recertification, access request and approval, actors and entities, dashboards and auditing, ease of use, strategy viability, customer behavior, and integration with partners. Forrester employed a rigorous 6 month process to create the Forrester Wave on Access Governance which included generating a detailed taxonomy of product attributes, gathering and validating data, and extensive hands-on evaluation of all vendors' products.
For this Wave report, Forrester evaluated version 4.2 of Aveksa's Access Governance automation platform. Shortly after research began on the Forrester Wave, Aveksa released version 5.0 of its software, which further extends Aveksa's lead in the market with significant enhancements including: a new Data Access Governance module, a new architectural concept called XMDB™ (Access Management Database), enhanced enterprise-grade performance and scalability, an enhanced user interface, and VMware-ready certification to fully support access control in cloud computing environments.
