Enterprise Access Governance Market Leader Joins Industry-Shaping Technical Committee to Advance Access Risk Management for the Cloud
Waltham, Mass—August 26, 2010—Aveksa, Inc., the market-leading provider of enterprise access governance and management solutions, today announced its membership to the OASIS Identity in the Cloud Technical Committee (OASIS IDCloud TC). The recently formed Technical Committee identifies gaps in existing identity management standards and investigates the need for profiles to achieve interoperability within current standards. As a committee member, Aveksa will perform risk and threat analyses on collected use cases and produce guidelines for mitigating vulnerabilities.

The OASIS IDCloud TC works to address the serious security challenges posed by identity management in cloud computing. The Committee collects and harmonizes definitions, terminologies and vocabulary of cloud computing, and develops profiles of open standards for identity deployment, provisioning and management. The TC collects use cases to help identify gaps in current identity management standards and investigate the need for profiles for achieving interoperability within current standards, with a preference for widely interoperable and modular methods.
