WALTHAM, MA—January 13, 2009—Aveksa, Inc., the market-leading provider of enterprise access governance solutions, today announced that it achieved record growth and business momentum in 2008 as a result of increased demand for the Aveksa Enterprise Access Governance Platform. In Aveksa’s fourth year of operations, the company doubled its customer count and increased sales by nearly 350 percent over the previous fiscal year. Aveksa also continued to see increased adoption of its solutions internationally, with nearly a quarter of total sales coming from new EMEA customers.
Over the past year, Aveksa built upon its leadership in the access governance market by adding top global companies to its expanding list of customers and partners. Aveksa signed leading companies across a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, food consumer products, retail, aerospace and defense, online gaming, transportation and utilities.

Aveksa also introduced new solutions to help organizations more effectively govern user access to information resources that lower IT security administration costs while ensuring sustainable compliance. In 2008, Aveksa introduced Access Request and Change Manager, which enables line-of-business managers to request user access in compliance with business controls and delivers an efficient, auditable access change management process across the entire enterprise. The company also shipped version 3.5 of its flagship Enterprise Access Governance Platform, which includes both the Aveksa Compliance Manager and Aveksa Role Manager. The Aveksa Governance Platform enables organizations to manage access across all users, information resources and entitlements, providing them with an automated, policy-based approach for governing user access while reducing the cost, complexity and burden of ensuring sustainable compliance.
Aveksa continued to grow its partner ecosystem in 2008, establishing key new relationships with many of the world’s top systems integration and consulting organizations. Aveksa more than doubled the number of partners that are implementing and/or reselling the Aveksa Governance Platform. The company added 16 new resellers, including nine new partners in EMEA. Aveksa also partnered with a number of key technology vendors in 2008. Novell and Aveksa entered into an OEM relationship that produced the Novell Access Governance Suite, which delivers seamless integration with Novell’s IDM products. The Aveksa Enterprise Access Governance Platform was also validated as “Ready for IBM Tivoli Software,” based on its demonstrated ability to integrate with Tivoli Identity Manager to automate access certifications, remediation and reporting.
