Aveksa Appoints John O’Donnell As Chief Financial Officer

Seasoned Technology Financial Operations Expert to Join Enterprise Access Governance Leader

WALTHAM, Mass.—September 24, 2007—Aveksa, Inc., the market leading provider of enterprise access governance solutions, today announced that it has appointed John O’Donnell to the position of chief financial officer. O’Donnell will be responsible for managing all financial and administrative operations of the company and will work directly with Aveksa’s senior management team in support of its worldwide growth strategy. In his new role, O’Donnell will report directly to Aveksa founder and CEO Deepak Taneja, and they will work to repeat the successful collaboration they forged while at identity management leader Netegrity.

O’Donnell brings more than 15 years of financial leadership experience and a track record of success to Aveksa. Before joining Aveksa, O’Donnell served as the controller at Empirix Inc., a leading provider of voice and web application testing and monitoring solutions. As a member of the Empirix management team, he was responsible for directing all accounting, risk management, financial planning and analysis, and contract management activities.

Prior to Empirix, O’Donnell served as vice president of finance at CA, Inc., where he led the finance and administration function for the Northeast Region and Canada. He joined CA after playing a key role in the successful acquisition of  Netegrity, Inc., a leading enterprise security management software vendor. At Netegrity, O’Donnell served as the controller and was responsible for directing all financial activities including accounting, tax, financial planning and analysis, risk management, SEC reporting and the Sarbanes-Oxley certification process. O’Donnell began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP.
