to its Board Of Directors

Former BMC Software, Cisco, HP, PTC, Ariba, and BladeLogic Senior Executive To Advise Aveksa To Meet Growing Market Demand

Waltham, MA,—October 3, 2011—Aveksa, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise Access Governance automation solutions, today announced that John McMahon, one of the most respected executives in the software industry, has joined the company's Board of Directors. McMahon, who has held senior management positions at BMC Software, Cisco, Parametric Technology Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Ariba and BladeLogic, will leverage his 25-plus years of senior-level management experience at both private and public software companies to help guide Aveksa as the company continues to experience tremendous growth and demand for its Access Governance automation solutions.

McMahon has had an illustrious career in the enterprise software sector leading sales, professional services, customer services and marketing teams at five public software companies. Prior to joining Aveksa’s Board of Directors, McMahon served as Senior Vice President of Go-to-Market Initiatives and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Services at BMC Software (NasdaqGS: BMC). During his tenure at BMC, the company experienced significant revenue growth and its stock soared to a record high. Prior to BMC, McMahon served as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Customer Services for BladeLogic. During his tenure at BladeLogic, the company grew over 100 percent year-over-year and McMahon played a key role in transforming the company from its start-up stages to its successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2007 and ultimately its $800 million acquisition by BMC Software.

Before BladeLogic, McMahon served as the President of HighRoads Inc., (formerly IE-Engine, Inc.). Prior to that, McMahon served as the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Operations for Ariba, Inc. (NasdaqGS: ARBA). Before Ariba, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales of GeoTel Communications Corporation, which was later acquired for $1.9 billion by Cisco (NasdaqGS: CSCO), where he served as Vice President of Worldwide Software Sales. Prior to GeoTel, McMahon was with Parametric Technology Corporation (NasdaqGS: PMTC) as the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Earlier in his career, McMahon held several management positions at Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ). He has been a Director of SelectMinds since November 2007 and served as a Director of IE-Engine, Inc. McMahon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
